The Final Year!
Today is the first day of my senior year at Bevier High School. What an exciting feeling to have made it through all the grades when it was quite possible the best I would ever do was to attend a state school. Thanks to the many people who have helped me here at school, I will be able to graduate with the friends of my class of 2014.
Today during our class meeting I was elected secretary, and I am honored to do that for this class. They have always looked at me with eyes of acceptance and respect, and I love them for that. Yes, I grew up with them so they have adjusted, but never in 13 years have I felt inferior to them or have they made fun of me. I believe that is a remarkable thing to say.
I am fully aware of the fact that our lives will soon go in entirely different directions; however, I know with complete confidence when each of them says my name in the future, even 20 years from now, my classmates will say it with a smile and with love. I know that's how I will always feel about them----the class of 2014.

ReplyDeleteI have had a week from hell...and as I was sitting here wallowing in self pity, I started reading Antonio Prokup's blog..I have watched him grow up from a little Kindergartner to a grown man....and Antonio I couldn't be prouder of you...I can get up and drive away or do a million things to make my life better but he can't and is he bitter NO....Janet & Jamie thank you so much for letting him be part of my world...It truly is a better place because of him...Enjoy your senior year buddy you earned it!
