One Wish for Christmas

If I had one wish for Christmas, it would be saving all children from harm.  If all children were safe, happy, loved, fed and cared for properly the world would eventually become a wonderful place.  Children react to their environment.  If they are raised in a peaceful and compassionate environment, they are more likely going to become caring and compassionate adults.  When you multiply this by all the children in the world, this equals peace.

Children  need to have someone who expects them to be the best they can be. Without expectations, children wander looking for love.  No child wants to be bad; however, they sometimes feel they have no one to be good for.  They are searching frantically for someone to love them unconditionally.  Someone to respect and to also receive that respect in return means they belong to someone.

Belonging to a family, and sharing love, guidance, and respect is what Christmas is all about.  If the wise men had brought these three attributes with their gold, frankincense and myrrh, we would have been reminded like Baby Jesus there are more important things to give a child, instead of material gifts.  My Christmas gift to all children is the hope they all find respect, guidance, and love.  If this gift catches on throughout the world, the ultimate gift of world peace will become a true Christmas present.
